GTA VI Secret Locations Guide

(Pre-Launch – Leonida Keys Focus)
Disclaimer (September 7, 2026)
Grand Theft Auto VI has not been released yet (launch date: November 19, 2026). Exact coordinates, full lists of hidden stashes, and precise unlockable vehicle locations are not publicly available. This guide is based only on confirmed information from Rockstar’s trailers, the August 2026 Extended Look, and developer statements (including Rob Nelson). Everything will change or expand after launch.

1. Leonida Keys – Hidden Stashes & Early SecretsThe Leonida Keys (the tropical island chain where the story begins) is designed as a quieter, more exploratory starting area. Confirmed or strongly indicated secret-style content includes:
  • Brian Heder’s property area – The starting safehouse and surrounding Key Lento zone contain early interactive objects and possible small stashes tied to the opening jobs.
  • Beach and dockside caches – Expect small hidden bags, lockboxes, or weapon/ammo stashes near piers, abandoned boats, and quieter beach areas (typical Rockstar design).
  • Island interior secrets – Smaller keys and less-visited islands are likely to hide low-to-mid value stashes, collectibles, or unique items that reward thorough exploration.
Tip for launch day: Thoroughly explore every island and dock in the Keys during the first few hours. Rockstar usually places useful early rewards in the starting region.
2. Underwater Treasures & Scuba Diving (Confirmed System)Scuba diving and underwater exploration are officially confirmed.

What we know so far:

  • Players can obtain diving gear to explore deeper areas safely.
  • There is an oxygen / lung capacity system.
  • Shipwrecks exist (including possible Spanish galleon-style wrecks and modern vessels).
  • Underwater treasures, chests, cargo, and valuables can be found and looted.
  • Marine life (including sharks) is present and interactive.
  • Some boats may support sonar upgrades to help locate metal objects on the seabed.

Best area for early underwater exploration:

The waters surrounding the Leonida Keys are the most logical starting point. Rockstar has specifically highlighted diving and marine activity in this region.

Recommended early approach:
  1. Unlock or purchase diving equipment as soon as it becomes available.
  2. Start with shallower reefs and wrecks near the Keys.
  3. Progress to deeper trenches once you have better gear and higher lung capacity.
  4. Sell or stash the valuables you find (fences/pawn shops will be important).
Underwater treasure is expected to be a meaningful side income and exploration reward, not just cosmetic.
3. Unlockable / Special Vehicles “Only Locals Know About”No exact list of unique or hidden vehicles has been confirmed yet. However, based on Rockstar’s usual design and what has been shown:
  • Special or unique vehicles are often tied to:
    • Completing certain story beats
    • Finding hidden locations
    • Underwater or hard-to-reach spots
    • Side activities and collectibles
  • The Leonida Keys will almost certainly contain water-related unique vehicles (boats, jet skis, or special craft).
  • Some vehicles may only become available after exploring specific islands or completing underwater objectives.
Launch-day advice:
Check every secluded dock, boat yard, and remote beach in the Keys. Rockstar loves placing rare or unique vehicles in out-of-the-way coastal spots.

Quick Exploration Priority List (First Days)
  1. Fully clear the starting Key (Key Lento / Brian’s area)
  2. Systematically visit every connected island in the Keys
  3. Unlock diving gear and begin shallow underwater searches
  4. Look for any marked or unmarked shipwrecks
  5. Check remote docks and beaches for vehicles or stashes
  6. Return valuables to fences and deposit cash at the safehouse
